Traveling to Buenos Aires; what gift should I bring my roommate?

Argentina is possibly the most culturally similar to Europe and North America out of all the latin american countries, so I don't want to bring my roommate something that they can just get anywhere in the city. I worry that something US-flag-themed, or a flag itself, might be considered hubristic. Any ideas of what I could give them?
