Getting a Brazil Visa at Porto Iguazu to further explore Brazil?

On our trip, we will be visiting Iguazu and we hope to cross over into Brazil at that point. Does anyone know exactly what we need to get our visa's there? I heard it is much easier than doing it in the US, or Buenos Aires. After we cross into Brazil, we want to catch a bus to Curitiba, does anyone have any info on that?
