Comments on my idea? 10 points?

That idea/theme has been done to death. Sorry. but it realy has. It's not unique for a book or movie. I wouldn't read it. It seems boring. You would need an edge on the old "girl loves boy, boy leaves town, girl dates newer-funkier-dude, old flame comes back, girl ends up with him and lives happily ever after".. it's predictable and passe. Add suspense- I don't know.. make the old friend come back and try to kill the new guy! Or girl goes back with her true love and the new guy stalks him! Or the girl falls pregnant.. something..
