5 days in Buenos Aires; Colonia, Uruguay worth an overnight?

I'm 24, male, traveling alone. I'll be in Buenos Aires for 5 nights and I would like to take a boat to Colonia, Uruguay one of the days. Is it worth spending the night in Colonia, or should I just make the trek back to Buenos Aires the same day? Any gay clubs in Colonia worth visiting?
